Getting Caught up
I know it has been awhile.
It has been a crazy pageant year.
Sheridan won Miss Fox Valley Outstanding Teen 2014 on February 1, 2014 and has done much since that day.
Sheridan and her sister queens have performed at a nursing home to practice their talents, and answered pop questions to practice for interview too.
She has Supported her own platform Food for Thought, which I will tell you more about later, by volunteering with her sister queens at Feed My Starving Children in Libertyville, and supporting our local congregation food pantry at Congregation Beth Am with Stamp Out Hunger where we collected, and sorted 3700 Lbs of food.
They have supported Children's Miracle Network at IHOP for Jean's Day and for National Pancake Day and they have greeted and thanked WWII Veterans coming home from DC visiting the WWII memorial with Honor Flight Chicago.
This weekend is Spring Forum in Springfield, IL and Sheridan has to turn in the last of her paperwork before the State competition on June 9, 2014 in Marion, IL. You can still donate and help contribute to her fundraising effort with Children's Miracle Network at
https://www.maoteen4kids.org/m.aspx?i=1201995EC3B5EEB51
and it's a tax write off too.

Election April 9, 2013 Libertyville Township - Re-elect Sari Ann Hurtig
Dear Friends,
I am writing this to you as a favor to request you support me in my endeavor to run for reelection on April 9 for Libertyville Township Trustee. I run as an independent and feel I do a great job in representing our community, assuring our taxes are spent positively and helping to reduce spending where possible.
I have included a link with my profile online, see below.
I would appreciate your taking the time to send this to any of your friends who live in Libertyville Township (the area includes all of Libertyville, parts of Vernon Hills, parts of Mundelein, Green Oaks, Mettawa, a small corner of Waukegan) and show your support and encouragement to re-elect me.
I will be in the 3rd of 6 spots on the ballot. There are 4 open positions and 6 people running. You will find our current board does an excellent job in supporting our community, fairly representing them along with myself. Those people include myself, Terry White, Rick Mittleman, and Robin O'Connor, all running for reelection as well.
If any of your friends have questions they are free to email me at this address. I would love to talk to them and give them any information if it will help them learn more about me and gain their support.
Thank you in advance for your assistance,
just click Forward and email 20 of your friends and send a little tag note asking them to vote for me.

Miss Universe
Did you watch the Miss Universe pageant yesterday?
What did you think of it?
Did you want a specific country to win?
I always want the USA woman to win because I am from the USA and suprisingly to me, she won.
I thought Miss Philippines should have won. She was poised and elegant, spoke well and wore her gown beautifully.
I thought almost all the ladies who made top 10 and top 5 had gorgeous gowns but the one I did not like was Miss USA. She had way way way too much cleavage showing and I didn't think it tasteful at all. I also was annoyed that she kept holding and lifting up her dress. This is a major pageant Faux Pas. She also tripped on her gown once. How does any of that show poise or grace.
This is my opinion of course. Miss USA did not answer her question very well, was not clear and even said UMMMM. Philippines did not, answered and spoke well and looked great.
It was a beautiful show and it moved along well. I liked that. All the ladies seemed to have a great time and I am sure it was a blast. It was great they all made it this far!! Congrats to Miss Angola in giving up her reign as Miss Universe 2011.
