Meeting with Carol Sente 59th Dist. State Rep IL

Today I had the pleasure of meeting with Carol Sente from Vernon Hills, IL. She was the person chosen for the democartic party to fill the vacancy left by Kathy Ryg.

She is running in the primary election on Feb. 2nd agains Elliott Hartstein, the current Village of Buffalo Grove, president (like mayor). He applied as the replacement for the Kathy Ryg spot, as did I and we were not chosen. I said I would not run in this primary and support the candidate chosen by the IL Dems and have stuck by my word. I have met Elliot Hartstein and he seems like a nice man and there is no doubt he has done okay in Buffalo Grove, however there is much trouble there now and I do not see him listening to his constituents or managing his board. I do not want him to win for other reasons as well. He is close to two republicans who were democrats that turned republican, Sid Mathias and David Stolman.
I can say that although those two switched parties, Hartstein did not, but still he is too close to the republicans and their political machine for my own good.

No matter, I support Carol Sente because she is kind, good hearted, willing to stand up for what she believes adn when she took this position she did make sure that they would not try to influence her decisions and she could make choices to do what she believes is right for her and her constituents that she represents. I respect that.
Carol is in a partner in a architectural firm and has been quite successful. She is serious about what she is doing. I can only say that I really liked her. I like her beliefs. she is against an increase in taxes, is for campaign reform and supports women having regularly scheduled breast exams and pap smears. She is for finding curest to breast and ovarian cancer and these crisis effect me personally because my mom had breast cancer and died of ovarian cancer. My mentor, friend and fellow politician Joy Fisher a former Wheeling Township trustee also passed away from ovarian cancer.

I have endorsed Carol and hope you will vote for her on the Feb 2 primary.
